The Column

Ten dancers advance in a loose diagonal column, teal fans open at their sides, red-soled shoes catching the light as they move forward in staggered unison — less a formation than a procession mid-stride.

Where other frames in the series hold their subjects still, this one carries momentum: the column is walking, and the eye follows it off the top of the frame.
