Outcrop

A limestone shelf pushes into the Borgo Pignano pool from the top of the frame, raw rock meeting engineered edge with no transition. The water reads in three distinct blues — pale over the shallow shelf, deep turquoise in the body, almost white where sun catches the ripple.

A beige parasol and three loungers occupy the top right corner, small enough to give scale to the mass of water. Nearly abstract, but the rock keeps it grounded in a real place.
