Six dancers turn mid-stride, their teal-black skirts caught flaring open behind them, braids swinging with the motion — the traditional hanbok shown here not as costume at rest but as a garment built for movement.

Stripped of its ceremonial context, the dress becomes the subject in its own right, its structure and drape doing the work usually reserved for the dancers.
