Coastal Pulse

Beach umbrellas in concentric rings of blue and white, opened in tight formation and photographed from directly above. Each canopy resolves into a set of clean circles, and repeated across the frame they set up an optical rhythm that pulses as the eye moves across them.

There is no sand, no water and no horizon in the shot — only the canopies and the shadows they throw, which is what turns a stretch of beach into something closer to a pattern study.
